Clandis V. Payne, L.M.F.T., Licensed Minister is motivated by a desire to fulfill the call to ‘heal the brokenhearted’. Clandis is a Doctoral Candidate in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University, in Santa Barbara. She received her Masters in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles, and her BFA in Theatre from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, IL. Clandis maintains a private practice in Larchmont, CA. Her clients consist of individuals, and couples. She focuses on the areas of pre marital counseling, child abuse survivors, and anger management. She is a speaker at conferences focusing on Multicultural Experiential Interactions.Clandis has taught Down and Dirty Anger Management at Pasadena Community College Extension, which is a three-hour course, designed for the everyday person to examine their relationship with anger and incorporate new coping skills. She volunteers with The “Growing In Grace Pageant for Young Ladies” by training young girls between 12 and 18 on public speaking and presentation.
Clandis and her husband, Robert, have been married for 34 years and have worked together daily to raise a son, grow a business, and produce presentations around California.Clandis will be presenting a workshop at the 72nd Annual ASGPP 2014 Conference: Many Faces, Many Places.” She will present "Places and Faces of Difference” an Experiential Multicultural Presentation on April 4, 2014 at the Oakland Marriott City Center, Oakland, CA.
